Referral System
Overview
The Referral System is a social and economic feature of the game that rewards players for inviting others into the ecosystem. It builds a network of relationships between landowners and strengthens community-driven growth, while also influencing tile ownership and economic outcomes.
Core Concepts
Referrer: A player who introduces another player to the game and is linked to their land.
Referral: A player who joins and occupies a land using a referrer’s address.
Foundation: The fallback referrer if no player referrer is provided during land occupation.
How Referrals Work
Occupying a Land
When a player occupies a land for the first time, they may enter a referrer’s address.
If provided:
The referrer must already own an occupied land.
The new player becomes part of the referrer’s network.
If not provided:
The new player is automatically linked to the Foundation.
Buying a Tile
If a land changes ownership:
The new owner inherits the referrals of the previous owner.
The previous owner loses referral connections.
The buyer is also linked to the previous owner’s referrer.
Limits and Restrictions
A referrer can directly have up to 30 referrals.
Players cannot set themselves as their own referrer.
Once set, a referral cannot be changed.
Network Structure
Each player has:
One Referrer: The player (or Foundation) who referred them.
Multiple Referrals: A list of players they have referred.
Networks form a tree-like structure, linking players together through land ownership and referrals.
Strategic Impact
Player Retention: Encourages bringing friends and allies into the game.
Economic Growth: Expands the community and ensures more activity on the map.
Land Trading Dynamics: Since referral networks transfer on tile sales, trading becomes a way to inherit networks.
Foundation Role: Guarantees that all players have a referral, even without player-to-player connections. If Foundation receives any income, it will add it into LOP's Liquidity on Harmony DEX Market.

Summary
The Referral System creates a social economy within the game, rewarding community-driven growth and connecting player lands into a larger network. It not only incentivizes inviting others but also influences land trading and the overall structure of the player base.
