Resource Sharing

Overview

The Resource Sharing System enables players to send resources from one land to another. This mechanic supports cooperation between allies, strengthens clans, and creates opportunities for strategic coordination. However, it comes with costs and constraints to prevent abuse and ensure balance.

How It Works

  1. Sender Requirements:

    • The sending land must have a Market building constructed.

    • Only the land's current owner can initiate a transfer.

  2. Receiver Requirements:

    • The receiving land must be occupied by another player (not empty).

    • Each land can only have one active resource receive at a time. Receiver needs to use at least 1 turn to receive another resource share.

  3. Transfer Mechanics:

    • The sender chooses:

      • Resource type (Food, Wood, Stone, Iron, Armor, Weapons, etc.).

      • Amount (minimum and maximum enforced).

      • Destination land coordinates.

    • Resources are deducted from the sender and credited to the receiver.

  4. Distance Factor:

    • Distance between land (measured in steps on the map) determines:

      • Cost in LOP tokens (burned upon sending).

      • Additional resource tax (proportional to distance).

Costs & Limits

  • LOP Token Fee:

    • 100 LOP tokens per tile distance (burned permanently).

  • Resource Tax:

    • Extra resources are consumed based on distance and amount.

  • Range:

    • Minimum: 1 unit away.

    • Maximum: 38 unit away.

  • Transfer Limits:

    • Minimum amount: 30 units.

    • Maximum amount: 100,000 units.

Events & Tracking

  • The receiver can view incoming transfers via the Resource Message Panel.

Strategic Role

  • Clan Coordination: Share resources with clanmates to strengthen their tiles before wars.

  • Support Weaker Allies: Help new players grow faster by sending them extra supplies.

  • Emergency Reinforcement: Rapidly transfer food, soldiers, or equipment before attacks.

  • Economic Trade: Used as a basis for player-to-player deals and trade outside of the marketplace.

UI & Feedback

  • Resource Sending Panel: Allows players to select resource, amount, and target coordinates.

  • Transfer Confirmation: Players see success/failure messages for each transfer.

  • Receiver Notification: Recipient sees a message when new resources arrive.

Summary

The Resource Sharing System is the backbone of teamplay and clan cooperation. While sending resources incurs costs, it can decisively shift power balances by fueling allies, saving tiles under siege, or accelerating collective growth.
